The Rural Routes – a name symbolic of the Country duo’s Maritime and Indigenous prairie lives together. Singer/Songwriters Alesha and Brendon continue working to cement their place in Canadian Country Music. With well over three-quarters of a million collective streams, the award winning and nominated Country Music Duo’s #1 Canadian charting single “Heartbreak Story” ( a Sirius XM exclusive) is the latest follow up to their successful release “Whiskey Lie” which charted Top100 at Canadian Country radio, reached #6 on the Indigenous Music Countdown and Top5 on Sirius XM’s Top of the Country, elevating the pair to one of Canada’s top Independent Country Artists. “Heartbreak Story” is a perfect song to showcase the duos artistic vision and musical abilities.
Highlighting performances include supporting slots for artists Brett Kissel, Corb Lund, Gord Bamford and more. The pair is set to return to the studio in early 2025 to record their follow-up single - available on all platforms.
